In early July, Tianyi Machinery was honored to host a delegation of engineers and procurement specialists from a long-standing Uruguayan customer at our Hubei production base. The two-day visit combined a full factory tour with in-depth technical sessions focused on bulk material handling equipment for South American cement, mining, and port projects.
A Closer Look at the Workshop
The delegation toured our machining, welding, assembly, and quality-control workshops, where they observed belt conveyor frames, bucket elevators, and heavy-duty apron feeders in various stages of production. Particular attention was given to our welding procedures, non-destructive testing, and the standardized idler production line that supports consistent quality across large orders.
Technical Discussions
Beyond the tour, both teams held focused engineering meetings covering:
- Material-specific design: Abrasive ores, high-moisture aggregates, and corrosive chemical by-products each demand different belt grades, lining materials, and sealing.
- Capacity and layout: Conveying distances, elevation changes, and site constraints in South American plants, where long-distance troughed belt conveyors and high-lift bucket elevators are common.
- Service and spares: Lead times, local stocking of critical spares (idlers, pulleys, scrapers), and remote commissioning support.
- Standards & documentation: Alignment on CE/ISO requirements and the engineering drawings and O&M manuals supplied with each project.
"What impressed us most was the vertical integration — from raw steel to a fully tested conveyor in one facility. That shortens lead times and makes quality traceable." — Visiting project engineer
Looking Ahead
The visit concluded with a shared commitment to move forward on a phased cooperation plan, starting with a pilot order for a cement raw-meal handling line. Tianyi will provide the general arrangement drawings, installation supervision, and a tailored spare-parts kit to support the customer's local maintenance team.
